    TAFE NSW offers study options to suit your needs. Choose from a range of flexible delivery modes to fit your schedule and learning style.

    Delivery modes

    On campus

    Attend one of our 158 TAFE NSW campus locations and learn in a face-to-face environment.

    Virtual classrooms

    Connect with your teacher and other students in real-time via web conferencing at scheduled class times, with options to study both on and off campus.

    Online

    Complete your course online and be supported with online study materials accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

    Workplace

    Workplace training is undertaken at your place of employment or in a simulated workplace.

    Combination

    Gain your qualification by learning through a combination of on-campus, online and workplace training.

    Attendance modes

    Full-time

    More than 15 hours per week. In addition to your chosen delivery mode, you may need to complete self-directed learning, which could include online activities or work placements.

    Part-time

    Up to 15 hours per week. In addition to your chosen delivery mode, you may also be required to complete self-directed learning such as via online activities or work placements.

    Self-paced

    Set your own pace and choose when you study. You’ll learn through self-directed activities and assessment.

    Variable

    A combination of all of the above. You’ll progress through your course through a combination of full-time, part-time and self-paced schedules specific to your course.
