    Indigenous Police Recruitment Our Way Delivery (IPROWD)

    The IPROWD program aims to engage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in training that prepares them for career opportunities in the NSW Police Force or the Australian Federal Police (AFP). IPROWD offers a safe, supportive learning environment, so you can help create positive change in the community.

    Eligibility criteria

    To be eligible, you must:

    • Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, self-identify, and be accepted or known by your community (Proof of Aboriginality/Torres Strait Islander status may be requested).
    • Have no serious prior criminal history or serious driving offences (All applicants must give approval for a basic police screening to be conducted).
    • Be a minimum age of 18 years at the commencement of the course.
    • Hold or be able to obtain a driver's licence.
    • For the flexible delivery programs, if you reside more than 90 minutes from the training location and are eligible for ABSTUDY, you may be eligible for support with travel, accommodation, and meals via ABSTUDY Away from Base funding.
