“These pathways are crucial in setting students up for success. Our courses provide practical skills and real-world experience for learners to pursue further education and employment opportunities,” says Mr Johnson.

“This year’s graduating cohorts have excelled. A large portion of students will continue their studies with us and many others have gained employment where they are applying their skills in the workplace.”

For 16-year-old, Sorin Keogh (formerly known as Evelyn Heterick), completing a Certificate III in Career Advancement has led to a part-time job at Spotlight Australia, and further study.

“Getting a casual job wouldn’t have been possible without the skills I’ve learned at TAFE NSW and the flexibility it offered.”

“I’m looking forward to studying a Certificate IV in Design next year. Art has always been a hobby of mine and now I’m one step closer to finding a dream job in the industry,” says Sorin.

16-year-old, Jessica Vella, will graduate with a Certificate II in Career Preparation and continue her studies, commencing in the Preparation for Further Studies and Tertiary Preparation Certificate next year. She attributes the support she received from her teacher to her new-found love for learning.

“The supportive environment that TAFE NSW provided has given me the confidence and ability to continue my studies. I now have a positive outlook on my future,” says Jessica.

TAFE NSW Bathurst will honour its two graduating cohorts in ceremonies, taking place on Monday 2nd (Certificate II in Career Preparation) and Thursday 5th (Certificate III in Career Advancement) December.
