Overview
About this international course
The accredited Diploma of Remedial Massage equips you with the understanding needed to deliver a wide range of massage techniques enabling you to work as a skilled remedial massage therapist in the health and wellness industry.
Learn about myofascial release, trigger point therapy, lymphatic and sports massage technique, and perform and adapt remedial massage treatments. You will also learn how to do musculoskeletal assessments as well as analyse health information for tailored treatments.

Work Placement Requirements:
To achieve this qualification, all students must have completed at least 200 hours of clinic work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency. This must include a minimum of 100 clients and is completed through the onsite clinics. If a student is working within the industry they can log a maximum of 50 hours offsite within a clinic setting with the remaining 150 hours to be completed within the onsite clinics.
Students will be required to complete a logbook for a record of the work placement so they can practice their skills and embed the knowledge they have learned during the course.

What you will study
At the start of your course, you will receive your timetable. You will need to study all core units and a range of additional units.
Total number of units = 21 16 core units 5 elective units, consisting of at least 1 unit from the Business Management group below and up to 4 units from the electives listed below, any endorsed Training Package or accredited course – these units must be relevant to the work outcome. All electives chosen must contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
