    The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care equips you with specialised skills in childhood development to become an educational leader, supervisor or manager in early childhood education and care.

    Additional costs

    Additional costs for uniforms, equipment, textbooks and materials (if applicable) range from $300 - $1,000 AUD per course.

    Structure and units

    What you will study

    At the start of your course, you will receive your timetable. You will need to study all core units and a range of additional units.


    12 core units 3 elective units, consisting of: 2 units from the electives listed below up to 1 unit from the list below, elsewhere in the CHC Community Services Training Package, or any other current Training Package or accredited course.     When you successfully complete this course you can apply for the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care (Birth 5) degree program with credits.
