Consumer demand and a preference for medium and schedule customisation has led to an increase in personalised media interactions. This has contributed to strong industry growth and increased advertising revenue.

New technologies like virtual reality are becoming more affordable for consumers. This is resulting in wider industry adoption of the technology to elevate the gaming or streaming experience for users through high definition visual experiences, engaging visual effects and realistic animation.

Additional costs for uniforms, equipment, textbooks and materials (if applicable) range from $300 - $1,000 AUD per course.

Structure and units

What you will study

At the start of your course, you will receive your timetable. You will need to study all core units and a range of additional units.

4 core units plus 9 elective units, of which: at least 7 must be from Groups A, B, C and/or D up to 2 may be from Groups A, B, C, D, E, and/or F, or any other currently endorsed training package qualification or accredited course. Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, and contribute to a valid industry-supported vocational outcome.
