    The Certificate IV in Community Services empowers you to build a rewarding career while making a difference in your community as a case or community services worker.

    You will learn skills that can be applied across different areas of community services, including alcohol and drugs, child protection, juvenile justice, mental health and more. The topics are broad so you gain experience working with a range of clients - from young people to seniors - to help them achieve their goals.

    Additional costs

    Additional costs for uniforms, equipment, textbooks and materials (if applicable) range from $300 - $1,000 AUD per course.

    Structure and units

    What you will study

    At the start of your course, you will receive your timetable. You will need to study all core units and a range of additional units.


    Packaging Rules Student will be required to successfully complete a total of 15 Units to complete this course. 7 core units and 8 elective units. Core Units: CHCADV001 Facilitate the interests and rights of clients

    Other university pathways

    You may gain entry to another university using your TAFE NSW qualifications. Acceptance and the amount of credit transfer may vary depending on the university and course studies. Check your credit eligibility.
