    About this international course

    Get the best of both worlds when you enrol in the Bachelor of Applied Commerce majoring in Accounting and Financial Planning. In this double major, you’ll get the combined skills and accreditation of our Accounting and Financial planning single majors.
    Gain the practical knowledge you need to set you up for career success across the two professions. Develop your practical skills and knowledge and learn to use accounting, financial planning and Xero tax software. Create detailed financial plans and statements, build client relationships, uphold ethical standards and learn to analyse solutions to current accounting and financial planning scenarios.
    You will have the exciting opportunity to participate in the financial services industry with the confidence to establish valuable professional networks with this Financial Adviser Standards (FAS) approved course.

    • Eligibility to apply for membership to Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA), Association of Financial Advisers (AFA), and the Tax Practitioners’ Board (TFB) as a tax agent and tax (financial) adviser

    Professional Experience Work Placement

    • Work placement provides you with opportunities to respond to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement strengthens your training and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace. Work placement is a valuable part of your course.
    • During your course, you'll undertake 60 hours of mandatory work placement.
    • TAFE NSW will arrange your work placement with a suitable industry employer.

    Additional costs

    Additional costs for uniforms, equipment, textbooks and materials (if applicable) range from $300 - $1,000 AUD per course.
